I had such a generative time with the folx who attended the Soil Health & School Garden Curriculum workshop with me & the Clackamas Soil & Water Conservation District. I am inspired by the work of these educators and the questions they are asking about how to foster skills in our youth to best prepare them for an ever-changing future. I also loved sharing one of my favorite lessons and watching them all perform it--making their own locally-sourced potting soil!

Oregon Farm to School and School Garden Summit Presentation
I was pleased to be a presenter at the 2020 OFSSGN Conference in Silverton this year, where I met inspiring and passionate educators from around the state, and was able to share my vision for school year-long garden programming. I appreciate all the people who participated and shared their expertise in continuing to build the school garden movement in Oregon and beyond. |
